Neoliberalism: the deep story that lies beneath Donald Trump’s triumph | George Monbiot | Opinion | The Guardian
A
good article by George Monbiot on how the deranged premises of
neoliberalism have come to infect almost all thinking in the west.
Trump, as he argues, is a symptom of this pathology.
Sadly, as
ever, Monbiot avoids considering the institutional resistance to change
from a media, including his own publisher, the Guardian, heavily reliant
on corporate advertisers, those most invested in and wedded to
neoliberal orthodoxy.
