It's
completely illogical to suggest that the candidate with the most
overall votes in this presidential election has any claim to the
presidency. The campaigns were run explicitly with the Electoral College
system in mind and there is no reason to believe the popular vote would
have been the same if both candidates ran to capture the most votes.
