Policy Officer
Established in 2008, the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) is a continental coalition of Civil Society Organizations from diverse backgrounds in Africa.
With a membership of more than 1000 organisations and networks, the Alliance brings together Faith-based Organisations, Farmers and Pastoralists Groups, Community-based Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations, Trusts, Foundations, among other sectors with a common goal of promoting and advocating for Pro-poor, climate-friendly and equity-based responses to climate change.
PACJA aims at unifying and coordinating isolated civil society efforts on climate change advocacy in Africa, so as to ensure that pro-poor and people-centered response measures are accorded considerable attention as governments in Africa seek to mainstream climate change into national poverty reduction and sustainable development strategies and actions.
Job Summary: Under the guidance and supervision of the Secretary General, and working closely with the Programme Manager, the Policy Officer will lead and provide support to regular analysis of climate policy issues and positions, in Africa and Internationally.
