"The lack of transparency in planning,
bidding, financing and accounting for the Olympic projects makes it
difficult to follow the money, but the general trend in all mega-event
hosts is a consolidation of power and wealth at the top. In a city as
unjust and unequal as Rio de Janeiro this is especially troubling."
