Canadian military predicted Libya would descend into civil war if foreign countries helped overthrow Gaddafi:





Canadian military intelligence officers predicted in 2011 that Libya
could descend into a lengthy civil war if foreign countries provided
assistance to rebels opposing the country’s dictator Muammar Gaddafi,
according to documents obtained by the Ottawa Citizen.

The
warning, made just days before several countries, including Canada,
began their March 2011 bombing campaign against Gaddafi’s regime, has
unfolded as predicted.

Libya has descended into chaos as rival tribes and militias continue to battle each other for control of the country.

 Because since the first day after the moment of the crash of the
Malaysian "Boeing" I adhere to the version where the airplane was shot
down by the Ukrainian SU-25 attack jet, I simply cannot refrain from
publishing a new investigation, which summarizes the arguments on this
topic.



  

A model was assembled in
Holland using of the fragments of the "Boeing" that was shot down in
Donetsk. Using the photos of the fragments from the crash site, it is
possible to approximately reconstruct the airframe. Among the photos
there were at least two that refute the version of the attack against
the plane using the "BUK" complex.

On one of the photos we can see the object, which looks like a rod from the AAM missile R-60M. On the other photo —
a round hole in the air intake of the right engine. There are at least
nine holes in the skin that are characteristic of the effect of an
"air-to-air" missile.

Bangladeshi government has sparked outrage by ordering that Jumma
tribal people cannot speak to foreigners, or Bangladesh citizens from
outside the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT), except in the presence of a
soldier or government official. The restriction does not apply to
Bengalis – the non-indigenous residents of the CHT.

The CHT, in
southeastern Bangladesh, are home to eleven tribes, known collectively
as Jummas. Land disputes between Bangladesh’s indigenous Jummas and
hundreds of thousands of settlers brought to the region by the
government are commonplace, often resulting in violence against the
Jummas.

Jumma
women and girls are often attacked when they are alone in the forest,
or when they go to the river to collect water or bathe.

missions as it prepares for a snap regional vote on independence.
Recently Spain’s top court ruled that the region’s symbolic referendum
vote in November was unconstitutional.

Nationalist leaders in the
northeastern region have urged a snap local vote on the issue of
independence on September 27, AFP reported.

Catalan president
Artur Mas and his government are reportedly working on tax, diplomacy,
and social security restructuring in case Catalonia becomes an

The U.S. Justice Department has concluded that the police and city courts in Ferguson, Missouri, routinely engaged in a pattern and practice of discrimination against African Americans. Despite comprising about 66 percent of the local population, African Americans accounted for 93 percent of arrests, 88 percent of incidents where force was used, 90 percent of citations and 85 percent of traffic stops. Ukrainian forces against Russian-backed separatists, as the Obama administration continues deliberations about whether to deepen involvement in a conflict pitting the West against Russian President Vladi­mir Putin.

James R. Clapper Jr., the director of national intelligence, said providing weapons to Ukraine would likely trigger a “negative reaction” from the Russian government, which Western officials are hoping will ensure that separatists stick to a European-brokered cease-fire that took effect this month.

Stop NATO...Opposition to global militarism | War is a crime, for which victory brings no atonement – Anatole France



Finland is to participate in a series of crisis management exercises
with NATO and its partners, starting Wednesday. The non-military
training drills will last from March 4 to 10.


The week-long war games will be based on a fictitious scenario during
which conflict breaks out between two distant states, resulting in
humanitarian and maritime security implications. Along with Finland,
other members of NATO Partnership for Peace, including Sweden and
Ukraine, will also take part in the drills.


According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, Finland will
participate in crisis management arrangements as well as national
operations planning and decision-making.


NATO’s crisis management exercise CMX 2015 will involve Finnish
foreign ministry and NATO mission representatives from Brussels, the
defence ministry, military high command, the office of the prime
minister as well as other officials as required.


The exercises will not see the deployment of troops and does not involve a physical theatre of war.


CMX is NATO’s regular decision-making and consultation exercise;
partners will be participating for the sixth time this year. Finland has
also taken part in the five previous training drills in 2005, 2008,
2010, 2011 2012.
