It used Honduras as a base to arm right-wing paramilitaries; it backed
the reactionary Hindu Kush with the aim
of destabilizing the Marxist government in Kabul; it supported the
Islamist right in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and South Africa’s apartheid
regime.
