Pro-vaccine fanatic, Bill Gates, funds predictive model showing 33 million people dead from Spanish flu pandemic - NaturalNews.com

(NaturalNews) One of the world's richest men, who spoke in 2010 about
how vaccines (which he heavily pushes throughout the world) are helping to cull the world's population,
is now predicting that as many as 33 million people could soon die from
a modern-day pandemic similar to the 1918-1919 Spanish flu.

Microsoft
founder Bill Gates hasn't said how such an event will culminate, but
he's sure it will, and he's actually spent a pretty penny working on
predictive models to show what sort of event will kill the most people
in the near future. It won't be a big volcanic explosion, a gigantic
earthquake, an asteroid, or even impending world war, according to Gates
-- at least not in his lifetime. Instead, it will be an outbreak of
some horrific disease like Ebola.

Within the next 20 years, Gates
contends, humanity will face a disease outbreak so severe that tens of
millions of people will likely die within a matter of just a few months.
This is according to a predictive model put together by the Bill &
Melinda Gates Foundation, which is currently setting the tone for a
potential disease outbreak worse than anything the world has ever seen.

In
as little as two months, says Gates, some unknown mystery disease could
spread to every urban center in the world, infecting even more people
than the Spanish flu, which took much longer to run its course.

"I
rate the chance of a nuclear war within my lifetime as being fairly
low," Gates is quoted as saying. "I rate the chance of a widespread
epidemic, far worse than Ebola, in my lifetime at well over 50%... We've
created, in terms of spread, the most dangerous environment that we've
ever had in the history of mankind."

"Cultural Genocide": Landmark Report Decries Canada’s Forced Schooling of Indigenous Children

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Canada has concluded the country’s decades-long policy of forcibly removing indigenous children from their families and placing them in state-funded residential Christian schools amounted to "cultural genocide." After a six-year investigation, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report concluded: "The Canadian government pursued this policy of cultural genocide because it wished to divest itself of its legal and financial obligations to aboriginal people and gain control over their lands and resources. If every aboriginal person had been 'absorbed into the body politic,' there would be no reserves, no treaties and no aboriginal rights." The first schools opened in 1883. The last one closed in 1998. During that time over 150,000 indigenous children were sent away to rid them of their native cultures and languages and integrate them into mainstream Canadian society. Many students recall being beaten for speaking their native languages and losing touch with their parents and customs. The report also documents widespread physical, cultural and sexual abuse. We are joined by Pamela Palmater, associate professor and chair of the Centre for Indigenous Governance at Ryerson University, an Idle No More activist and author of "Beyond Blood: Rethinking Indigenous Identity and Belonging."

Russian Investigators Release Name of Key Witness in MH17 Crash in Ukraine

The Russian Investigation Committee released the name of the key witness to the Malaysian Airlines flight that had been downed over eastern Ukraine last year, Russian Investigation Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said Wednesday.

MOSCOW  (Sputnik) – Markin said that investigators had decided to release the name in light of the numerous media reports that were doubtful of the story’s authenticity.

“The [key] witness is a Ukrainian, Evgeniy Agapov, who served as a mechanic in the First Squadron Brigade of Tactical Aviation of the Ukrainian Air Force (Military Unit Number A4465).”

“[Agapov] is currently under state protection,” Markin added.

10 reasons why investing in women and girls is so vital

Did you know women and girls make up half of the world's population? Duh :)

Did you know women and girls represent the majority of the world’s poor?

Did you know 70% of the 1 billion poorest people are female?

I didn't know about the harsh reality that faces many women and girls until I started doing my research. I was devastated to learn that women and girls all over the world are held back simply because of their gender. They are disproportionately affected by discrimination, violence, and exploitation. Too many are deprived the opportunity to an education and to basic health care services.

In order to overcome these inequalities, the world must prioritize their needs and basic human rights. But the great news is that investing in girls and women also makes economic sense. In this article, I explore what the world would look like if the world educated, empowered, and kept all girls and women healthy.

Thousands of Farmers in India Rise up Against Monsanto: Biotech Giant Known for Causing Suicides

Some have said that India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, arrived at
the nation’s pro-GMO position with the help of generous campaign
funding from a GMO lobby, but that hasn’t stopped thousands of Indian farmers from demonstrating against
Monsanto and their biotech cronies in a massive grassroots movement
that shuns anti-farmer practices and genetically modified crop farming.

Shri Rakesh Tikait, National Spokesperson for the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) explains:

“The government is exhibiting its pro-industry stance by pushing for unneeded, unwanted and unsafe GMOs in our farming.
We want all open air field trials of GM crops stopped immediately in
the country since such open air trials pose not only a risk of
contamination but also risk of trade rejection. Further, any moves
towards trade liberalization in agriculture whether through the WTO
route or through free trade agreements are unacceptable to us.”

“The genocide continues”: Kamp Armen under threat

The spirit of resistance has taken root
in Tuzla, a wealthy, beachside suburb on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
Getting off the bus, an hours’ drive from the Bosporus a series of
spraypainted signs direct one past gated communities and celebrity
villas to a hidden plot of land where once the songs and laughter of
hundreds of Armenian children brought live to a now derelict and
partially demolished school building.
‘Welcome to Camp Armen’ reads a sign at the entrance in both Turkish and Armenian. A narrow driveway covered by flags from Nor Zartonk –
a political association founded by Armenians which fights for minority
rights in Turkey – and flanked by walls covered in political slogans
leads to site where for almost one month people have successfully
resisted the destruction of the former Tuzla Armenian Orphanage.
On May 6 – a mere two weeks after the 100th
commemoration of the Armenian genocide – bulldozers arrived at the site
of the abandoned school building and immediately set to work in
demolishing the structure. One entire wing was leveled before local
activists who had been warned by sympathetic construction workers that
were building a villa next door arrived on the scene and threw
themselves in front of the machines to try and safe what was left of the
school.

In Turkey the cultural genocide of minority groups continues.
Now, a Gezi-like resistance movement tries to turn the tide and build a
common future.

Florida Court Rules “Off Grid” Living Illegal

Robin Speronis had been living in an off-grid home for many years
without incident, until she was interviewed by a local FOX affiliate in
November of 2013. Shortly thereafter,
the city of Cape Coral tagged a “notice to vacate” on her property, due
to multiple code violations, all of which stem from the fact that her
home isn’t connected to water, sewage, or the electrical grid. The city
has tried to argue that she is in violation of the International
Property Maintenance Code for relying on rainwater and solar panels,
instead of utilities.

Since that time, Speronis has been fighting the courts
for her right live off the grid. Magistrate Harold Eskins recently
ruled that she can live without using water or electricity, but she
still has to be connected to these utilities no matter what. Despite his
ruling, Eskins admitted to the press that the code may be unfair,
“Reasonableness and code requirements don’t always go hand-in-hand.” Despite his supposed sympathies, he still feels compelled to enforce the code.

Still, Speronis has decided not to give up, and will continued to
defend her case in court. Even if she doesn’t win, she has no plans to
leave her home. “Even if they board the house up, I’m not leaving…They
did the best they could when they took my dogs and arrested me. It fell
apart because I’m unshakable.”

Wikileaks Drops Another Damning Trove Of Secret Trade Deal Documents

Wikileaks Drops Another Damning Trove Of Secret Trade Deal Documents

Wikileaks Drops Another Damning Trove Of Secret Trade Deal Documents

WASHINGTON -- The latest trove of secret trade documents released by
Wikileaks is offering opponents of the massive deals currently being
crafted by the Obama administration more fodder to show that such
agreements can impact United States laws and regulations.

The latest leak purports to include 17 documents from negotiations on the Trade In Services Agreement,
a blandly named trade deal that would cover the United States, the
European Union and more than 20 other countries. More than 80 percent of
the United States economy is in service sectors.

According to the Wikileaks release, TISA, as the deal is known, would take a major step towards deregulating financial industries, and could affect everything from local maritime and air traffic rules to domestic regulations on almost anything if an internationally traded service is involved.

The pact would be one of three enormous deals whose passage through
Congress could be eased with passage of Trade Promotion Authority, also
known as fast-track authority. The Senate has passed fast-track, and it
could be taken up in the House this month.

The other giant pacts
are the Trans-Pacific Partnership covering a dozen Pacific Rim nations
and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership targeted at
Europe.

Among the staunchest opponents of the deals are unions,
whose members point to job losses sparked by previous free-trade
agreements, and to the excessive secrecy surrounding the measures.

"Once
again Wikileaks reveals what we cannot learn from our own government, a
government that defaults to giant trade deals that affect generations
of Americans shrouded in secrecy until they are virtually adopted," said
Communications Workers of America President Larry Cohen.

Sunbathing at the crime scene: the Israeli resort that covers up a massacre

There are few clues today at the site of the single worst massacre
committed by the Israeli army during the 1948 war that established a
Jewish state on the ruins of the Palestinians’ homeland.

For Palestinians, Tantura, the name of a coastal village south of Haifa that was once home to 1,700 inhabitants, has become a byword for the darkest episodes of the Nakba (Arabic for catastrophe), the ethnic cleansing of 1948.

For Israelis, the site is referred to by a different name — Dor,
known as a popular beach resort belonging to two neighboring kibbutzim,
Dor and Nahsholim, an hour’s drive north of Tel Aviv.

In May, some 300 activists met in the resort’s car park in an attempt
to end the long-enforced silence about Tantura in Israelis’ collective
memory. Precisely 67 years after the massacre, they staged the
first-ever commemoration at the site.

Activists carry placards reading the names of the Tantura massacre’s known victims.

West Papua: New Indonesian gov't offers more suffering

Indonesia is supposed to have a new liberal leadership with the election of new president Jodo Widodo, the first president since the Suharto dictatorship was overthrown in 198 to be elected from outside the Javanese military/political elite.

But the Australian public, in the furore over the fate of two the Australians and others facing execution, are getting a glimpse of the stance of Widodo — and other influential Indonesian leaders — towards human rights, justice and compassion.

Of all the areas ruled by Indonesia, resource-rich West Papua is especially suffering. Its people are getting little in the way of social and economic benefits and the native West Papuans live under a brutal Indonesian army occupation.

West Papua has the world’s largest copper and gold mines, but with corruption and injustice rife the West Papuans endure poverty and inequality while foreign companies are further enriched.

At the same time, the exploitation of minerals, rainforests and other resources of West Papua is leading to pollution, deforestation and destruction of wildlife and habitat.

In 1961, West Papua was promised independence from their former Dutch colonial rulers. Indonesia, however, wanted to take over the country to get access to the vast mineral and timber resources of West Papua. The US pressured the Netherlands to give West Papua to Indonesia.

Crackdown on Dissent Persists On 26th Anniversary

(New York) – The Chinese government should finally acknowledge and take
responsibility for the massacre of pro-democracy demonstrators in June
1989, Human Rights Watch said today. Authorities should release
activists jailed for commemorating the occasion along with all others
imprisoned in China for the peaceful exercising of their political views.

“Twenty-six years ago, the Chinese government decided that violent
repression was the appropriate response to peaceful protest,” said Sophie Richardson,
China director. “Until the government acknowledges its actions and
provides redress to the many victims and their families, there is no
safeguard that future protests won’t provoke a similar reaction.”

Beijing’s recent arbitrary detentions and prosecutions of 1989 protest
veterans epitomize a severe new crackdown on dissent over the past two
years.

War, Imperialism and the People’s Struggle in the Middle East
United States continues its occupation of the region

Since March 26 the Saudi Arabian monarchy along with its neighbors in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has been waging war on the nation of Yemen. Daily bombing raids against residential areas and infrastructure are ostensibly designed to push back the Ansurallah (Houthis) movement which has taken over large sections of the country, one of the most underdeveloped in the region.

This war has been largely hidden from the view of people inside the United States. Nonetheless, this is a U.S. war aimed at maintaining Washington’s dominant position within the Arabian Peninsula extending to the Horn of Africa and the Gulf of Aden.

Prior to the beginning of the airstrikes by the Saudi-GCC Coalition, the administration of President Barack Obama withdrew its diplomatic personnel along with Special Forces operating inside the country. For many years the Pentagon and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has viewed Yemen as a key area for its so-called “war on terrorism.”

Regular drone strikes have killed many Yemenis along with at least three of whom were U.S. citizens. Washington has said that the Al-Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is major threat to American interests in an attempt to justify the drone attacks which have killed more civilians than supposed “armed combatants.”

People Should Control the Food System, Not Corporations

Why you should ditch the official EXPO and go to the People's EXPO instead

For those among us interested in how we can feed the world, we would
recommend a visit to the alternative People's EXPO instead of the
official Milan (Italy) EXPO 2015, a massive exhibition supposedly aimed
at bringing the global community together to 'make progress on issues of
international importance.'

Twenty million visitors are expected at the EXPO 2015 in Milan, a €1.3 billion exhibition themed around "feeding the planet, energy for life."

Giant food corporations like Nestle, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola are
using this space to hobnob with governments and portray themselves as
companies feeding the planet sustainably.

'At the People’s EXPO
running this week, small scale food producers, farmers' movements,
activists and researchers will discuss the real challenges of the
current food system and the solutions: agroecology and food sovereignty –
the right of people to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced
through ecologically sound methods.' (Image: expodeipopoli.it)

A U.N. Resolution to Establish an Israeli State in Palestine, Would Fail Today by at least 100 Votes

The oldest religion in the world, Judaism, has in recent years been hijacked by right-wing, Political Zionists in Israel, desperate for power and land to further their own ambitions of influence.

Up to 1948, the Land of Palestine was inhabited primarily by Muslim Arabs – a minority of whom were itinerant – whose families had lived and farmed in Palestine as the majority indigenous people of the region continuously for over a millennium, i.e. during these thousand years, there was only ever a minority Jewish presence until, in 1947, the then newly established United Nations upon pressure from the American Zionist Council, passed Resolution 181 for partition of the Holy Land.

That vote, in which Britain abstained, was carries by just a handful of member states from a then newly formed United Nations that only represented a minority of the current global membership. In other words, the establishment of the state of Israel was primarily at the behest of the Zionist lobby in America who prevailed upon then US President Harry Truman to support the proposal – against his previous judgement – and which should not have been passed at all. It only succeeded because of the pressure of Truman’s ex business partner, one Eddie Jacobson, who was a member of the American Jewish Masonic Lodge of B’nai Brith.

What Spain Tells Us About the Future of AFRICOM. U.S. Beefs Up Military Presence in Southern Spain | Global Research - Centre for Research on Globalization

What Spain Tells Us About the Future of AFRICOM. U.S. Beefs Up Military Presence in Southern Spain

The US’ decision to beef up its military presence in southern Spain indicates that a new strategy towards Africa is well underway.
Washington just clinched a deal with Madrid that will see it boosting its military footprint in the south of the country. According to the agreement, up to 2,200 Marines and possibly 40 military aircraft will be deployed within striking distance of all of West Africa, and this massive amount of firepower proves that the US is preparing its forces for engagement all across the continent in the years to come. Its deployment along the African periphery in Spain complements the existing presence it has in Italy and Djibouti, to say nothing of its mobile naval capabilities, and this arrangement may actually be the most ‘efficient’ of AFRICOM’s speculated formations. In the short term, it’s predicted that the US’ latest moves are in anticipation of an inevitable leadership transition that may soon take place in Algeria, while the constant, long-term interest is in controlling the transit of significant non-Russian gas supplies to the EU.
What’s at Stake for Spain

Spain’s collaboration is motivated by financial and political interests, but Madrid’s short-sighted thinking may inadvertently destabilize the domestic situation in the country and open it up to terrorist attacks.

New World Re-Ordering

Mario Candeias

What should we call the current era?
Post-everything? Or perhaps, the interregnum? Whatever the name it
should be given, the current period is characterized by neoliberal
trans-nationalization. In addition, U.S. hegemony has been under
question since the beginning of this
period. In fact, the Empire is no longer U.S.-American and a change in
hegemony is in full swing. Despite what world-systems theorists such as Giovanni Arrighi suggest, the balance does not seem to be tipping toward China. Nevertheless, as Niall Ferguson points out, it is moving
toward Chimerica.
Furthermore, since the beginning of the global financial crisis, no
project has been in sight that could reorganize the active consensus of
the subalterns, move perspectives on accumulation one step up the
ladder, and provide a position capable of establishing a new world
order.

The gloves are off. With proof of a nuclear attack on Yemen saturating “some of the news,” issues of a new reality of war, the covert use of WMD’s by governments, needs to be addressed. Fabricated claims of nuclear proliferation and other WMD’s has led to invasions, endless threats of war and mindless sanctions while the real use of these weapons, covertly in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen, these and other nations, has killed many and endangered more.

Major national player now resort to tactical nuclear weapons, poison gas, crop diseases and even weather modification as a “cheap and dirty” was of waging “irregular warfare,” part of the Chaos Theory “bag of tricks” that has long included propaganda and false flag attacks.

far from ridding anyone of cancer actually feeds the growth and spread
of cancer.

Sometimes it almost seems like the drugs
industry works overtime to find new ways to hurt, cripple or even kill
us. Scientist Peter Nelson of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
in Seattle in a write-up of a study of why cancer cells were so easy to
kill in the lab but not inside our bodies, found that healthy cells
damaged by chemotherapy secreted more of a protein called WNT16B which
boosts cancer cell survival. “The increase in WNT16B was completely
unexpected,” Nelson told AFP.

He added that,“WNT16B, when secreted,
would interact with nearby tumor cells and cause them to grow, invade,
and importantly, resist subsequent therapy.” That would explain why in
cancer treatment, tumors often respond well initially, followed by rapid
regrowth and then resistance to further chemotherapy.

The study was conducted by a team of
scientists from different cancer research centers, universities as well
as from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories. It was published
online in August 2012 in the journal Nature Medicine. Among their
alarming conclusions was that, “The expression of WNT16B in the prostate
tumor microenvironment attenuated the effects of cytotoxic chemotherapy
in vivo, promoting tumor cell survival and disease progression.”

Imperialist Economics and the New Cold War

Western capitalist states continue efforts to dominate world system

Since late last year there has been a precipitous decline in the
prices of oil and other commodities produced in large measure by
countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Russia and Latin America.
The United States under the Obama administration has developed a
concerted energy policy to boost domestic oil and natural gas production
in an effort to lessen dependence on foreign states for essential
transportation and concomitant needs related to petroleum and related
industries.

One country on the African continent, the Federal Republic of
Nigeria, represents a case in point when analyzing the role of oil in
the economic trajectory of a post-colonial territory. 101 years ago the
British consolidated their control over Nigeria as an imperialist
outpost for London.

During the mid-1950s, a number of western-based oil firms such as
Shell entered the country to exploit its natural resources. By the time
of independence in 1960, the country contrived by the British was split
in several essential ways where the production of oil was largely
centered in the southeast. A three-year civil war in which Biafra
attempted to separate from the broader state failed leading to a
heightened level of oil exploitation resulting to the country becoming
the dominant producer on the continent.

The U.S. utilization of oil led to a strong economic relationship
between Washington, Wall Street and Nigeria. Successive U.S.
administrations sought to maintain good relations with Nigeria in order
to encourage the stability of a unitary state and the continued supply
of oil.

Syria: Iran Is Going In | New Eastern Outlook:

Syria: Iran Is Going In

Recently a number of sources on the net started citing an influential London-based newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that is funded by Saudi Arabia. According to these sources the newspaper claimed that Russia is going to turn its back on Syria. Allegedly, after a number of sensitive defeats of pro-Assad forces, Russia started reconsidering its position on Moscow’s traditional ally in the Middle East. Journalists funded by Saudi Arabia are convinced that the Syrian army is destroyed, cities are falling into the hands of Islamist one after another, and the whole defense perimeter of the Syrian state has simply collapsed. It’s been claimed that ISIL controls 50% of Syria’s territory and President Bashar al Assad has managed to retain control of no more than 8% of oil and gas resources in Syria.

According to the above mentioned sources, a reversal in Russian policy has been marked by Moscow’s negotiations with the Gulf States. Asharq Al-Awsat claims that a total of one hundred high-profile Russian officials along with their families have already been evacuated from Latakia. Allegedly, a joint operational staff, composed of Russian, Iranian and Hezbollah officers is being evacuated now. Moreover, Asharq Al-Awsat claims that in April at a meeting of intelligence representatives of Russia and the West, for the first time ever Russian officials were not insisting on keeping Assad in power. At the same time speculations about “serious discussions” between Russia and the United States on the future of Syria in the Arab media are appearing with each passing day.

Police Killings and State Repression Continue After Ferguson and Baltimore
Law-enforcement agencies conduct reign of terror against the oppressed

Police agencies nationally are not moderating their brutal and murderous actions against African Americans and other oppressed peoples.

Rebellions in Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland have shed light onto the brutal killings and injuring of hundreds of people every month. Law-enforcement and judicial abuse is a routine affair in major urban areas and suburbs.

In response to the rebellions in Ferguson and Baltimore along with other atrocities such as the killing of Tamir Rice in Cleveland, Tony Robinson in Madison, Wisconsin, Walter Scott in North Charleston, South Carolina and so many others, a wave of demonstrations have swept the United States. These protest actions including civil disobedience have been covered widely through print, audio and television networks as well as social media.

The Secret Trade in Services Agreement (TISA)

Most people never heard of it. They’re not told how they’re systematically deceived, lied to and swindled. There’s nothing fair about US free trade agreements.

In June 2014, WikiLeaks released a secret TISA Financial Services Annex text covering 50 countries and over two-thirds of world trade in services.

It aims for deregulating global financial services markets more than already. It allows unrestricted exchange of personal and financial data.

Chemical Companies to Write Own Chemical Safety Standards | Natural Society

Chemical Companies to Write Own Chemical Safety Standards | Natural Society

Chemical Companies to Write Own Chemical Safety Standards
Does this sound safe to you?

With bill S.697, the chemical industry is about to be given free reign to write their own safety standards. Unless, they are willing to drink their own glyphosate to prove it is “completely safe” as one Patrick Moore recently refused to do, then it hardly makes sense for them to decide if their own products meet safety requirements for the public.

Congress hasn’t passed a chemical control bill since 1976, with the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). But this was even ‘broken from the start,” according to the Environmental Working Group (EWG).

The TSCA grandfathered in thousands of chemicals that were already on the market at the time, even though most of them were extremely hazardous to human health. That act didn’t even allow the EPA to ban asbestos, which is a known cause of cancer.

This new bill would essentially give companies like Monsanto, Dow, Bayer, and Syngenta the authority to call their own toxic chemicals ‘safe’ when regulatory bodies elsewhere have called them carcinogenic, and even deadly.

International doctors call for immediate ban on cancer-causing glyphosate herbicide - NaturalNews.com

International doctors call for immediate ban on cancer-causing glyphosate herbicide

(NaturalNews) In response to a recent International Agency for Research on Cancer report, which found that the Monsanto herbicide glyphosate "probably" causes cancer in humans, a cohort of international doctors is now petitioning the European Union Parliament, the EU Commission, and several other health and food safety authorities to take action by banning the use of this prolific chemical.

A letter written on May 14, 2015, by the International Society of Doctors for the Environment, or ISDE, contends that a growing body of evidence shows that glyphosate, as well as dozens of other commonly used crop chemicals, is dangerous to both people and the environment. Signed by the group's president, it calls on glyphosate in particular to be outlawed with no exceptions.

"The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), belonging to the World Health Organization (WHO), has recently published an assessment of carcinogenicity of the following organophosphate agrochemicals: glyphosate, tetrachlorvinphos, parathion, malathion, [and] diazinon," the letter reads.

Why So Many Internet Activists Don't Change Any Minds

 By David Cain
/ raptitude.com

On Facebook I quietly unsubscribe from friends who regularly make
angry issue-related posts, even if they’re right. I don’t want to be
pummeled by “truth,” no matter how true it is.

I understand why they do it. I’ve done it. Ignorance — of
overfishing, of puppy mills, of normalized sexism, of what vaccines can
and can’t do — can be genuinely dangerous, and wanting to reduce this
ignorance is understandable.

Some are able to do it carefully and diplomatically, and I have learned a lot from these people.

But most internet activists let contempt seep into the message. It
becomes about making others wrong instead of trying to help them be
right. Just visit virtually any issue-related message board. It’s
adversarial. It’s normal to blame people for their ignorance.

Ignorance, if that’s what it really is, isn’t something people can
fairly be blamed for. We don’t choose what not to grasp, what not to
have been taught, what not to have understood the significance of.

Freedom Act head fake: The NSA has not stopped spying on Americans… and it never will, either - NaturalNews.com

(NaturalNews) There are days I just shake my head in bewilderment at the
astonishing, almost incomprehensible gullibility of mainstream
Americans and the media that claims to be practicing intelligent
journalism. When I see the Associated Press report things like, "The NSA
had stopped gathering the records from phone companies hours before the
deadline," I'm almost paralyzed with disbelief.

That's their story, though. And they apparently believe it. See Either way, no more NSA collection of US phone records. Read the story yourself if you need a really good laugh at an example of extreme gullibility in the media.

US Senate Lets Three Patriot Act Provisions Expire

On Sunday, Senate debate failed to extend three controversial Patriot Act provisions:

  • Section 215 used as justification for bulk NSA phone, Internet and business records collection;

  • the lone wolf provision amending the definition of a foreign power
to include anyone allegedly “engag(ing) in international terrorism or
    activities in preparation thereof;” and

  • the roving wiretap provision permitting “blank check” phone and
Internet monitoring of individuals without identifying them by name or
    having justifiable probable cause.

Unless changed by subsequent congressional action, monitoring
henceforth requires “specific and articulable facts” showing targeted
subjects may be foreign agents as defined under the 1978 Foreign
Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

“Altered Genes, Twisted Truth”: The Silence of Britain’s Royal Society is Deafening | Global Research - Centre for Research on Globalization

“Altered Genes, Twisted Truth”: The Silence of Britain’s Royal Society is Deafening

In his recent book ‘Altered Genes,Twisted Truths’, US public interest attorney Steven Druker
exposes the fraudulent practices and deceptions that led to the
commercialisation of GM food and crops in the US. Not long after the
book’s release, he wrote an open letter to
the Royal Society in Britain calling on it to acknowledge and correct
the misleading and exaggerated statements that it has used to actively
promote GMOs and in effect convey false impressions.

Druker cited specific instances where members of The Royal Society
have at various times made false statements and the Society’s actions
were not objective or based on scientific reasoning but seemingly were
little more than biased and stridently pro-GMO. He argued that The Royal
Society has misrepresented the case for GMOs and has effectively
engaged in a campaign of disinformation.

The Royal Society acts as a scientific advisor to the British
government. It is a self-governing fellowship of many of the world’s
most distinguished scientists drawn from all areas of science,
engineering, and medicine. The Society disseminates scientific advances
through its journals. It also promotes science information and
communication with the public. The Royal Society is a prestigious
institution that feeds into policy formulation processes at national
level in the UK. The Royal Society counts. It is a very big deal.

By the mid-1990’s, Druker notes that The Royal Society had become a
partisan defender of GM foods and embraced a proactive policy on their
behalf. In pursuing this proactive policy, he argues that several
individuals holding prominent positions within the Society – and even
the Society itself – have issued misleading statements in regard to GM
foods that have created significant confusion and illegitimately
downplayed their risks. He then goes on to document specific instances
of occasions when this occurred.

MIT Scientist Uncovers Link Between Glyphosate, GMOs And The Autism Epidemic

Autism is one of humanity’s most mysterious afflictions.
The disorder, which can hinder communication, empathy and other social
skills on a spectrum ranging from mild to severe, affects as many as 1 in 68 children born in the United States,
according to the Centers for Disease Control, up from 1 in 150 at the
turn of the century. No one knows exactly what has caused the increase,
but one researcher is pointing her finger at a chemical called
glyphosate, more widely known as the active ingredient in the ubiquitous
weed killer Roundup.

Agribusiness giant Monsanto introduced
Roundup Ready soybeans to the United States in 1994, which are
genetically modified to resist glyphosate so farmers can spray their
fields with the weed killer without damaging their crops. Today, some 90
percent of soy and corn grown in the country are Roundup Ready.

Rule By The Corporations: who needs governments?

The Transatlantic and Transpacific Trade and Investment Partnerships have nothing to do with free trade.  «Free trade» is used as a disguise to hide the power these agreements give to corporations to use law suits to overturn sovereign laws of nations that regulate pollution, food safety, GMOs, and minimum wages.

The first thing to understand is that these so-called «partnerships» are not laws written by Congress.  The US Constitution gives Congress the authority to legislate, but these laws are being written without the participation of Congress. The laws are being written by corporations solely in the interest of their power and profit.  The office of US Trade Representative was created in order to permit corporations to write law that serves only their interests. This fraud on the Constitution and the people is covered up by calling trade laws «treaties».
