Cuba: The struggle to recover from Hurricane Sandy seven months on - IFRC

A Cuban Red Cross volunteer is distributing zinc sheets to families who got their houses damaged by Hurricane #Sandy last year. They will use these to repair their roofs and protect themselves from the rain. Thanks to efforts of the government and the Cuban Red Cross, about 30% of the over 24,000 houses destroyed by Sandy have so far been repaired, but more than 160,000 families are still without a proper roof.
