The rice that teaches reading

Rice is the staple food most consumed daily worldwide. In some rice-producing countries is the paradox that it is cheaper to buy in other countries to consume itself. In Burkina Faso, the local rice has gained ground against Asian competition thanks to the added value of steam cooking, traditional culinary practice of women in West Africa. Since 2010, we accompany this process with a program by which, among other things, the local rice was covered up almost 40% of domestic demand.
