Helping to plug the medicine gap in Syria - IFRC

This photo is from the warehouse of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent’s branch in Rural Damascus, where volunteers are unpacking parcels of different medicines from the IFRC. According to Dr Rami Hassan, a pharmacist in the branch, more than 300-400 patients in need of medicines are coming to the branch every day – 3-4 times more than before - as medicines and medical treatment have become hard to find and prohibitively expensive in today’s Syria.
