The Catalan National Assembly, the pro-independence group that led
hundreds of thousands of protesters in Barcelona last month, will
endorse using regional elections as a de facto referendum on
independence if the Spanish courts block a vote planned for Nov. 9,
chairman Carme Forcadell said.
