The Minister of Economy and Knowledge of the Government of Catalonia,
Andreu Mas-Colell, played on Wednesday evening at a debate on the
economic future of Catalonia Joan Majo former Minister of Industry,
organized by the newspaper now. The minister warned that their input
known statement "Spain slows us down"
could be stated as "the Spanish government slows us down"; before
ensuring that the central executive makes "a deliberate effort to stifle
autonomy."
Mas-Colell has clarified that "asphyxia is the same for
everyone, but that does not console me." In his opinion, the government
led by Mariano Rajoy "aims to reduce autonomy, and tie them legally
establish a financial system in Spain where they become large
delegations." All in all, the Catalan Minister, defined as "expert on
scarce resources, "calls for more" more room to maneuver, to define an
economic policy adapted to our reality and less uniformity. "
"The collateral damage is severe deterioration of public services"
By the Council, this situation is clearly detrimental not only to
Catalonia, but for the whole of Spain, while stating that "the
collateral damage of this asphyxia is severe deterioration of public
services of the welfare state." In this sense, Mas-Colell predicts that
"the long-term goal is to reappear central government as the great
savior."
Meanwhile, Joan Majo was added to the idea that "the
current funding slows the Catalan economy." Furthermore, lamented the
Budget 2015 which, in his view, "reduce investment in Catalonia is Spain
damage because undermines one of the main engines of its economy." Most
also noted that "more than ideological bias, there is an error; and
instead of trying to seduce resolve the current situation, the attitude
is the opposite. "
By the Minister, the preparation of budgets, the
Spanish government has recently shown that "make no cost-benefit
analysis because the prevailing political and economic analysis." I
joked about the fact that "seem to think that the project of the
sixteenth century capital Madrid is not over yet."
