A hundred years ago, many Yazidis fled their historical homelands in
Turkey out of fear of being massacred by the Ottoman state. Now, tens of
thousands of them have - involuntarily - returned, once again fleeing a
massacre, this time at the hands of IS. A report from the Yazidi
refugee camps in Turkey.
Suffering brutal attacks by ISIS, many Yazidis fled to
Turkey. Now they are settled in refugee camps in the very lands their
ancestors once came from.
