Before Brexit: Greece Voted No To Austerity, Got More Austerity

Greece was betrayed by their supposed “leftist,” “anti-austerity”
government led by the Syriza party on year ago. Greek voters had eight
days to consider a ‘creatively ambiguous’ referendum on austerity
measures amid an atmosphere of tremendous media and government
propaganda which supported a bailout that would benefit Europe's Central
Bank and the IMF, not the people. So how does this compare to the ‪#‎Brexit‬?

Barely a week after their last crunch vote, Greek lawmakers are set to vote later Wednesday on further economic reforms demanded by international creditors in return for a new financial bailout.
