intelligence interference in the internal affairs of Somalia. In the
last decade, the Pentagon and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has
engaged in targeted assassinations, training programs for the
reconstructed of the Somalian National Army and the embedding of U.S.
personnel within local state structures.
