By TruePublica editor: In this fascinating
document written on the 1st January 2010, Gerald Reaveley James gives an
incredible and shocking personal account in a speech of just how dark
Britain’s ‘deep state’ goes when it comes to daily life in a country
that supposedly pride’s itself on fairness and a strong belief in
justice. James’ own story takes you straight down the rabbit hole,
literally into the unknown, that ends up revealing the workings of a
secret, unaccountable government in Britain. It functions, not only with
callous disregard for the lives of those who get in its way but through
Machiavellian manipulation of them.
Gerald James appealed against
decisions of the UK Information Commissioner to support the refusal of
various UK government departments to release documents relating to his
allegations against MI6, Government Ministers and Senior Civil Servants.
His allegations concern the events surrounding what has become known as
the “Arms to Iraq Affair”. Even a cursory reading of
regular commercially-controlled media reports (Read: The Independent
– “The holding back of papers about the Scott arms-to-Iraq inquiry
simply stinks. This was one of the most morally debased episodes in
British foreign policy”) of the affair at the time supported James’
allegations of corruption, cover-up and collusion at the highest levels
of government. His book “In the Public Interest” together with articles
and papers put the matter beyond reasonable doubt. (READ: Gerald James 2007 FOIA Appeal Statement – and Witness Statement HERE)
