Former British ambassador Craig Murray offers another revelation that
throws the whole "Salisbury nerve agent attack could only have been done
by Russia" narrative into further doubt.
The "novichok" agents,
which the UK has attributed exclusively to Russia, were in fact
produced in 2016 by Iran. Tehran responsibly alerted the OPCW to its
discovery.
As Murray observes, this means potentially other
states have developed them, especially rogue states like Israel and
North Korea whose chemical weapons arsenals are unregulated and
unsupervised.
