Twitter
has suited up for the battle in Venezuela - on the side of the
Washington-backed opposition. While hundreds of pro-government sites
have been shut down for "inauthentic
behavior," pro-rebel accounts tied to suspicious Miami companies
associated with hacking and doxxing (which is against Twitter’s terms of
service) are left to multiply. Twitter uses the NATO-funded Atlantic
Council to help "authenticate" accounts on its site which likely
explains how it has taken sides in the Venezuela info war.
