Almost half of Catalans would like to query the evil that Spain banned

82.1% of Catalans in favor of calling a referendum on the independence of Catalonia and 58.5% of the population would vote for if they do now. Suggests a survey commissioned by the Association of Municipalities for Independence (AMI) has been prepared and presented today by 3033 surveys. The survey, carried out between 16 and 27 September with a very large sample (3,000 respondents) said that 58.5% of Catalans would vote in favor of independence, 19.3% against, 11 , 5% do not know and would abstain from a little over 10%.

For parties

For parties, 77.4% of voters would vote for CiU independence, 90.6% of voters ERC and 85.6 of the CUP. However, this percentage drops to 42.8% in the case of ICV. Also vote for the 25.5% of voters PSC Citizens and 10.2% and 9.8% of PP.

The survey also asked what reasons have to vote in favor of independence. 33.6% are motivated by reasons of identity: national recognition, nationhood, culture, language ... 28.4%, to have more autonomy in decision-making and resource management, 27.8% for depletion of the relationship between Catalonia and Spain, the feeling of abuse, 23.6% to an improvement of the economic situation. And there are 6.2% of respondents expressing other opinions.

What did vote against independence?

44.3% of respondents would vote against independence exhibited as the main reason identity factors, the desire to preserve the unity of Spain and emotional and family ties with Spain. 21.2% gives more weight to doubts about the viability of independence and on the maintenance of Catalonia within the EU. And then there are a number of arguments with more lightweight: it is not a priority (9.2%), the desire to explore other means (8.9%), distrust of the political class (8, 4%), Catalonia would be better as it is (7.7%), lack of information (4.1%) or other reasons (8.5%)
