NSA Implements New Secret Controls to Prevent Another Snowden - Top US World News | Susanne Posel Daily Headlines and Research

The customer confidence lost by Edward Snowden’s revelations has hurt tech corporations financially.

Naval Admiral Michael Rogers, new head of the National Security Agency (NSA) and US Cyber Command (CYBERCOM) and even Snowden are telling the public that by working with tech corporations, the public can secure their private data against the surveillance programs implemented by the federal government.

Rogers downplayed the exposure of secret data surveillance conducted by the NSA and revealed by Snowden to the press.

Rogers said that because of Snowden, “the sky [isn’t] falling”; while the NSA has noted “some terrorist groups change their behavior in response to Snowden’s leaks, and the [NSA} will find ways to compensate for the damage as technology progresses.”

The director of the NSA said: “You have not heard me as the director say, ‘Oh, my God, the sky is falling’. I am trying to be very specific and very measured in my characterizations.”

Because of Snowden, the NSA “has taken substantial steps to prevent another leak” with new changes that will “prevent one single individual from gaining unfettered access to such a large trove of data and documentation.”
