This very very bad news is why I worry about
Snowden. A classic political strategy is to create a scandal that allows
the passage of the law you want passed anyway. People overread the
negative impact of a scandal. The NSA does not care that people are mad at it as long as this bill gets passed...allowing the NSA to collect well everything on you forever: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/02/nsa-surveillance-government-privacy-board-report
