End the ban on abortion in El Salvador
Manuela, a woman suffering from cancer, miscarried her pregnancy in
2008 and was arrested on suspicion of having had an abortion. She was
jailed for 30 years, despite the fact that her cancer may have caused
the loss of her pregnancy. Without proper treatment, she died in April
2010, in prison, separated from her mother, father and children.
