And reports are coming in that the US government is now looking for
ideas on how to build its very own ‘helicarrier’. This, and other links,
however, lead only to the notice on the left, on the website of
America’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency [DARPA]. This agency
is working on the conversion of existing aircraft into flying aircraft
carriers, holding drones – which have a limited flying range – near to
where they can be launched, retrieved and maintained.
