Just a few hours left to help raise funds to get a New Internationalist Magazine
crew to Paris in December, where they will make short films to amplify
the voices from the frontline in the struggle for climate justice. For
21 years the UN climate talks have been just that, a talking shop. The
outcomes have been pitifully inadequate, and if anything have made the
situation worse by commodifying the climate, making new carbon markets
that have done little to curb emissions and put a price on nature so
that it can be bought, sold and traded for profit. Rather than focusing
on what is going on inside the negotiations, this project will look to
indigenous peoples and majority world voices who are tackling these
issues from the grassroots. We will be helping to make sure those
stories reach a wide audience by sharing them on this page. Find out
