Breaking the Silence
" But in the end there aren’t just two
lanes, pro-Israel and pro-BDS. There is a third way in between those
lanes — pro-Israel and anti-occupation."
This important point was
raised in an article written following a panel we took part in at the
Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College, alongside our
colleague from the New Israel Fund and human rights lawyer, Michael
Sfard.
We're glad to take part in
such critical debate abroad, on diaspora Jewry's role in the
conversation on Israel's policy of occupation. We refuse to accept that
supporting Israel entails supporting the occupation, and are proud that
young diaspora Jews are standing firmly with Israel by expressing their
opposition to the occupation loud and clear.
