Climate Change in the Arctic
Climate change; it's still a thing. The melting and retreating arctic
ice is as clear a signal as any that we are living in perilous times,
that this issue is critically important and requires immediate and
far-reaching action. That it isn't being seriously acted upon is an
indication of how far profits are put before people and the planet and
how successfully the seeds of doubt have been sown by those who profit
from inaction. The platitudes about time running out and urgent action
being needed have been repeated so often as to become background noise,
yet our future on this planet depends on making sure that profound
political and cultural changes are made in order to stop climate change.
