Media claims secret CIA assessment shows Russia helped Trump win
Surprise Friday night report intensifies corporate media attack on all things Trump
(INTELLIHUB)
— In a sort of Friday night disinfo surprise, the Washington Post,
already reeling from publishing a now totally debunked article on fake
news, has released a bombshell report that claims a secret CIA
assessment shows that Russia directly sought to help Donald Trump win
the presidency.
The report,
completely based on the claims of unnamed U.S. officials and therefore
almost impossible to confirm or debunk, is sure to once again send the
corporate media into anti-Trump overdrive.
“The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened
in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather
than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system,
according to officials briefed on the matter,” reads the article.
“Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections
to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of
hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others,
including Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, according to U.S.
officials,” it continued.
“Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the
intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost
Trump and hurt Clinton’s chances.”
