European Parliament President Martin Schulz is quitting his job in
Strasbourg and aiming for higher office in Berlin. Schulz, who, in 2003,
was likened by Italian Prime Minister
Silvio Berlusconi to a Nazi concentration camp guard, appears ready to
take the helm of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) in a gambit to
prevent Germany from joining the ranks of the anti-European Union
nations in Europe.
