is now trying to embed QR codes inside drug pills that are capable of
tracking whether or not people take their prescriptions – which means
billions of dollars in new profits for drug companies.
They’re giving it more palatable terms like “personalized” medicine –
a supposed move away from the mass production model of drug production
that send thousands of generic white, blue, and red pills down an
assembly line and into nondescript bottles. But the infusion of barcodes
into pharma drugs means more power and control for the legal drug
lords.
Researchers from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark have been doing much of the dirty work on this front. In conjunction with a team of researchers from Åbo Akademi University
in Finland, edible QR material designed for injection into
pharmaceuticals is already in the works, and according to those involved
with its manufacture, it’ll have the capacity to store all sorts of
data.

Iranian Criminal Court Sentenced Juvenile Offender to Death on Education Minister and MP’s Recommendation – Center for Human Rights in Iran
February 27, 2018–A young man who was
incarcerated at 15 years of age was sentenced to death in Iran upon
turning 18—despite the provincial state medical examiner’s report that
Mohammad Kalhor was not mentally mature when he allegedly committed
murder.
The Center for Human Rights in Iran
(CHRI) has also learned that the Supreme Court threw out Kalhor’s
initial three-year prison sentence and ordered a new trial resulting in a
death sentence after a deputy education minister and an influential
member of Iran’s Parliament asked the court to “look after” the victim’s
family.
“The case of Mohammad Kalhor is
extremely concerning because Iran has yet again issued a death sentence
to a person who was convicted as a juvenile in violation of
international and UN standards,” said Hadi Ghaemi, CHRI’s executive
director, “It also highlights the Iranian Judiciary’s lack of
independence.”
According to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and Convention on the Rights of the Child,
it is illegal to execute someone for crimes committed under the age of
eighteen. Iran is party to both treaties but remains one among a handful
of countries still putting juveniles to death.

Apparently not. The Washington Post fairly
well teed up Senior Presidential Adviser and obvious White House merit
hire Jared Kushner as both a threat to national security and as a sucker
that various satraps and oligarchs can see coming from a mile off.

Officials from China, the United Arab Emirates and at least
two other countries privately talked about ways they could control Jared
Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and close adviser, a
Washington Post report said on Tuesday, citing current and former U.S.
officials. The foreign officials, also from Israel and Mexico, sought to
take advantage of Kushner’s business arrangements, financial
difficulties, and lack of foreign policy experience, according to
unnamed U.S. officials the report said were familiar with intelligence
reports on the matter.
