Seed diversity at risk - against EU regulation for the benefit of seed seed industry - Dear Members of the EU Commission, Dear Members of the EU Parliament, EU, Dear members of the EU Council of Ministers! Currently in Brussels a new EU Regulation seed is prepared. This diversity of varieties and also the eco-types are defined bureaucratic obstacles in the way, while the power of the agro-industrial sector will be further strengthened. The currently known designs for a new EU Regulation seed promote the concentration of seeds in the hands of a few corporations in the seed industry. This is unacceptable. A new EU regulation must peasant seed varieties and organic varieties create appropriate conditions for a variety of varieties. Species diversity must be available not only in gene banks, but without bureaucracy on the market: Therefore: No official approval required! In addition, the current admission requirements for varieties for organic farming must be facilitated so that our agriculture can adapt to changing conditions such as climate change, to new diseases, pests and a greener lifestyle.
