Finding out more about forests | International Institute for Environment and Development

Finding out more about forests | International Institute for Environment and Development:

Every two months, news, detailed analysis and work from specialist researchers from the IIED forests team can be delivered direct to your inbox simply by signing up to the newsletter.

The first forests newsletter, containing an appeal for 'love-infused development' to be taken into account when devising Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how the strategies used by developing countries to gain compensation for protecting forests will affect men and woman in different ways, was issued on January 21.

The email also highlights some of the significant recent IIED publications such as a strategic assessment of the options for investing in locally controlled forestry in Mozambique's Niassa province and a practical guide for improving the governance of forest tenure, and showcases the work performed alongside partners such as the Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE) in Uganda.
