Justice Department charges 5 Chinese army officers with cyber-spying - THE US INDEPENDENT : THE US INDEPENDENT:



The Justice Department Monday announced criminal cyber-spying charges against five officers of China’s military, accusing them of stealing trade secrets from six U.S. companies.

The indictment for economic espionage marked the first such case brought against foreign government officials.

U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. said at a news conference that the hacked American companies and organizations included U.S. Steel, Westinghouse, Alcoa, Allegheny Technologies, United Steel Workers Union and the Solar World.
