Violence against children is unjustifiable and preventable

to be done to tackle the root causes of the violence, tackling the
cultural, economic, social and political attitudes that allow it to

“There is no such thing as an acceptable level of violence against
children,” says senior UN Human Rights officer Jane Connors. “Every
society, no matter its cultural, religious, economic and social
background, has the capacity to stop this violence and must do so.”
