Dealing with Uncertainty: Why Reaching out to Young People Is So Important
Young people need mentors now more than ever - people to offer a map of our world situation with both eyes open.
Kids growing up today feel instinctively that there is something wrong
about modern schooling, our economy and government systems. But
conventional wisdom doesn't offer much inspiration. If a kid has a
problem with any of this, most adults and people of authority will tell
you there is something wrong with you.
We'd like to tell young
people, unequivocally, there is nothing wrong with you. Your feelings
are valid. The problem is our culture and its institutional systems and
things could be so much better than this. Our mission is to abandon
conventional thinking about the status quo and work to create
alternatives from the ground up.
