Uruguay: TISA and power in the shadows. The dirty little secret

A plot entanglements, concealments and confusions was gaining notoriety
in Uruguay when through a misfeasance of EFE May 2014, acquired
embryonic state public the application for the Trade in Services
Agreement (TISA). The relevance is increased from the most recent
exhumation of the confidential documents of negotiation, by Wikileaks
that published the newspaper digitally -today only "Public" of Spain.
Splashes reach not only the current administration of President Tabare
Vazquez but also that of his predecessor, Pepe Mujica, who had begun the
talks and formally applied for membership and from September 2013
through its Foreign Minister Luis Almagro, today Secretary General of
the OAS. To the point that the only central Uruguayan workers, the
PIT-CNT, held this week a strike of 4 hours, topped with a mobilization
of thousands of activists at the door of the Legislative Palace, where
he joined his demands (increases wage and compliance with budgetary
target for education) requiring withdrawal from the negotiations of
TISA.
