Trade Secrets negotiations: open letter to MEPs

On October 27th 2015, the first informal negotiation on the draft Trade Secrets Directive
takes place between the European Parliament, the EU's Member States and
the European Commission (a procedure known in EU-speak as Trilogue
or trialogue). This text contains dangerous legal unclarities on the
protection of journalists & their sources, whistleblowers,
workers... and threatens to create a blanket secrecy regime for
corporations in the EU (and beyond via TTIP). Together with other
organisations, CEO is co-sending this open letter to MEP Constance Le
Grip, rapporteur of the text for the Parliament, urging her to defend
and further improve the European Parliament's position on the text
against the two other institutions in a context where the European
Parliament is the only EU institution to have interacted with civil society on this issue so far.
