Now the United States finds itself squarely in the middle of a fight
between two alleged friends -- Qatar and Saudi Arabia -- that it doesn’t
have to involve itself in, an
intervention that will produce nothing but bad results. Backing Saudi
Arabia in this quarrel serves no conceivable American interest,
particularly if the ultimate objective is to strike at a non-threatening
Iran.
