Yet
more evidence (as if we need it!) that much of the Labour party
leadership is still in thrall to - and enforcing - Blairite orthodoxy,
especially on the question of Israel-Palestine.
Not only did shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry spout toxic
Likud political propaganda in her Balfour Declaration centenary speech
about Israel's "right to exist", but an entirely non-controversial
riposte from Gary Spedding was censored by the Labour List publication
for fear of causing "offence".
It goes without saying, of
course, that Labour leaders like Thornberry are *not* concerned about
any offence they might cause Palestinians.
