All Pretence is Over in Persecution of Assange - Craig Murray

All Pretence is Over in Persecution of Assange - Craig Murray

I
posted on the travesty of justice that took place yesterday when a
London court denied Julian Assange the right to walk free from the
Ecuadorean embassy, even though we now know that behind the scenes
Sweden dropped its investigation of him four years ago.

Former
British ambassador Craig Murray has two new posts about the judge who
issued that decision – and they amply confirm suspicions that the court
she presides over was always going to make a political ruling rather
than one based on the legal facts.

Murray pokes holes through
her ruling, and also marshals evidence that Lady Arbuthnot – pillar of
the Establishment – was never going to give him a fair hearing.

Her husband, Baron Arbuthnot, is at the heart of the the UK's security
establishment - and would you know it, is an ardent supporter of Israel.
The photo is of him planting a tree on behalf of the Jewish National
Fund, whose forests were established over hundreds of Palestinian
villages destroyed by Israel in 1948 and intended to prevent their
inhabitants from ever returning - a war crime, of course.
