More than 130 violent cases in Catalonia against separatists in three months
BARCELONA (Sputnik) - In Catalonia, there have been 139 violent
incidents against separatists in the last three months, according to a
report by the independent organization Mèdia.cat. Between September 8
and December 11, 2017, there were 139 reported violent incidents they
had as political motivation the defense of the unity of Spain, among
them 86 physical aggressions that have caused a total of 101 wounded of
diverse consideration.
Among the crimes that this independent
media observatory lists are, in addition to the aforementioned physical
assaults, threats, coercion, vandalism, violation of private property
and at least two cases of sexual violence. The investigation details the
entity, has been based on an own investigation, contrasting
journalistic and police sources, and whenever it has been possible,
consulting the victims themselves and testimonies of the aggression.
