One
of the biggest multinationals in the world, Unilever, has threatened to
pull its advertising from Google and Facebook unless they eradicate all
content that “create division in society and promote anger and hate”.
Will that mean the eradication of those of us who "create division" by
departing from the media consensus in favour of the turbo-charged
neoliberalism that now dominates western societies? Will that mean the
eradication of those who make their followers justifiably "angry" by
exposing the fake news peddled by the corporate media and intended to
deceive them?
You can bet Unilever's bottom dollar, it will.
