CATALONIA --- Asociación SUMATE: Testimonio: Laura Nicolau

Asociación SUMATE: Testimonio: Laura Nicolau

Witness: Laura Nicolau

I'm Catalan to the core, but I have roots and I'm so proud charnegas! My father was born in Almaden, Castile-La Mancha (or Manchuria Brava, as you end up calling for his love of the Costa Brava). My mother was born in Valencia (errors of the post-war, poor me). My yayos were Andalusia and Valencia. My grandparents Barcelona. The Almaden yayos emigrated to Catalonia because the yaya did not want the pope and the "tiet" work in the mines of cinnabar, wanted a better future for themselves. I speak Catalan and Castilian, change from one language to another without thinking, since I was little. I talk to my family in Catalan and Castilian, depending on who and what to speak. I'll talk to my hij @ in Catalan and Castilian. With Xavi's children, my partner, "game" to speak Castilian because they do not practice much. I love Catalunya, I love Spain. I love the Catalans and Spanish that we respect, understand and love, I'm sure there are many. I do not want to continue in Spain. And why not hate her. It's just that I do not like some talk about us and judge our situation. How come our reasoning and how you think about them. Not to mention their reactions. I do not want to be more part of the Spain unfair to the Catalans. I know Madrid, Asturias, Cantabria, Galicia, the Basque Country, Castilla la Mancha and other communities ... and I lack even so much to see and learn! And the best part is that I have really wanted to know! And like me, there are many and I want to keep it that way. I have no doubt SÚMATE joined after seeing the video and read what they do and their purposes. Hopefully we do outreach, reaching as far as we can, because I think he's hit the jackpot when do see the vast majority of Spanish respectful and normal, what is our daily problem. What are the grounds for divorce (hopefully out express). Because even though some say no, better or worse, more frequently or less, more or less fluent in Catalunya all speak Castilian and see if in this way, more people understand us and understand the situation better. Just ask the right to give our opinion, the right to decide to receive. Lliure Visca Catalunya! And it is clear that Visca Catalunya, Spain is not down, it just means: everyone at home. Take heart! We get between tod @ s! Laura Nicolau (Barcelona)
