Against Conspiracy Theories - Why Our Activism Must Be Based in Reality

Against Conspiracy Theories - Why Our Activism Must Be Based in Reality

It's
important to keep in mind that the phrase "conspiracy theory" has
attained a massive power in its ability to be hurled against anything by
anyone who wishes to silence dissent. We shouldn't give the word this
power, by allowing anyone that uses the word as an epithet to silence
discussion.

That said, there are some important points discussed
here. Pretty much all of our activism can be effectively pursued while
sticking to known facts. Our activism has no need to depend on
speculation (aka theories) to be successful. It is weaker when it does,
and is stronger when it doesn't.
