MEPs decide the fate of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment
Agreement, the tax secrecy surrounding the text continues to generate
concern among citizens. Examples are the conditions in which MEPs are
allowed to review the agreement in a space of 6 square meters surrounded
by extreme vigilance.
The Transatlantic Trade and Investment
Treaty (TTIP), which promises open the door to trading partnerships
between Europe and the US, is on everyone's lips and hands of a few. In
the coming weeks the European Parliament will be positioned on the
proposals encompassing and flagrantly violate the rights of citizens by
allowing large companies sue states if they consider that the laws or
decisions adopted threaten their privileges.
