Crisis in the Congo: 7 Million Dead and the Role the US and its Allies Played
A study published by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in January 2008 said that 5.4 million people had died from 1998 to 2007 in Congo, with 45,000 more victims being added to the death toll every month.
It's now estimated the death toll has risen in between 7 million and 20 million. But as the killing goes on, the world remains silent. This film examines the role that the United States and its allies, including Rwanda/Uganda, have played in the greatest humanitarian crisis at the dawn of the 21st century.
