Monsanto Hit With Major Lawsuit After Selling Toxic Herbicide

Countries fluttered to action after the WHO organization labeled glyphosate - the main ingredient in Monsanto’s RoundUp Ready herbicide - to be “probably carcinogenic.”

A German super-store removed it from their shelves, Bermuda banned it from being used on its crops, Colombia decided to protect its valuable coca plants by banning glyphosate as well, and Netherlands nixed the allowance of the toxic compound in its country - all just a glimpse of what is yet to come.

But
if Monsanto expects to quietly get away with the environmental and
health damage caused by the rampant spraying of glyphosate-containing
herbicides marketed to consumers as ‘safe,’ the biotech giant has
another reality coming.

Claiming that glyphosate was harmless to humans even though it has been repeatedly been shown to be anything but is called ‘false advertising,’ and the company is now going to pay for it, both financially and in reputation.
