The exodus of thousands of people not only crosses the Mediterranean and in dilapidated boats, unsafe boats and rafts rudimentary but also, in the last two months, has begun to arrive from Turkey across the continent on a path marked by despair.

Forced migrants have to cross five countries Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary and Austria to reach the longed Germany. The vast majority of them coming from Syria, but there is also originally from Iraq, Eritrea and Afghanistan. The flow is incessant. Shocking. Sometimes deadly. The influx to the Greek Aegean islands adjacent to the Turkish coast has been a 327% higher than in 2014, according to data from the police in Greece. In the month of July, the number of immigrants who have crossed the borders of the European Union has reached 107,500, tripling the number that occurred last year. In June and were 70,000 and is expected in August, a new record is reached alarming.

But, why it has accelerated this migration process right now? Why has not been given before, months ago, for example in spring, given that the Syrian Civil War five years old? What circumstances have converged to this disaster happen? Is it not a crisis induced from the outside? What role is played by the European Union? And the United States?

This migratory chaos is nothing casual. It is the result of a very specific geopolitical context. Let's see what it is.
