CATALONIA -- Pressure for 'common platform plank' for EU Parliament elections - VilaWeb

Pressure for 'common platform plank' for EU Parliament elections - VilaWeb:

The agreement on the electoral program among all of the pro-sovereignty forces to the European elections seems difficult, keeping in mind that ICV has distanced itself. Today, however, the president of the Catalan National Assembly (ANC), Carme Forcadell, insisted that the ANC had not yet thrown in the towel and that it would strive for such an agreement to be made. In fact, today ANC will continue to insist with ICV in the meeting that it will hold this afternoon. For the moment, CDC and ERC have transmitted a feeling of optimism with respect to the right to decide in the European elections.

CDC pointed out the 'shared principles' with Unió, ERC and ICV-EUiA on the referendum. 'The question is whether there is consensus on the text or if everybody writes their own, but in the end, it comes out about the same,' said the CDC's Secretary for Organization, Josep Rull. At his side, the General vice-secretary for Institutional Coordination, Lluís Corominas, had not ruled out a joint event with ERC, as the Republican leader, Oriol Junqueras, implied on the same day that the party designated Ramon Tremosa as the head of the party list for the European Parliament.
