International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination:

Each year on 21 March, the world commemorates the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. It is a time to reflect on the progress made and the challenges that remain in combating racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance around the world.

This year's theme was chosen by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to highlight key role that leaders play in mobilising political will to combat racism and racial discrimination.
