Out of Occupy, a New Populist Political Party Forms

Out of Occupy, a New Populist Political Party Forms

Carl
Gibson, co-founder of U.S. Uncut, is joining with other Occupy Wall
Street organizers to launch a new populist political party that would
focus more on electing reps at the local city and county levels and less
so on state and presidential elections in the short term.

It's
believed that real grassroots power is best built from the ground up, so
victories at this smaller scale is the most tangible and effective way
to create significant change in the long run.

What do you think? Does this sound like a good strategy?
